Organizers in the various meetup cities have until April 15 to finalize their event locations for National Natural Hair Meetup Day. As meetup organizers finalize their arrangements, the NNHMD team will update the website. When we update the website with their information, we will tweet it and post it on the FaceBook page. Meetup cities are not really chosen or selected. Meetup event hosts are encouraged to plan a meetup on the day of National Natural Hair Meetup Day. Event hosts are asked to complete our event submission form. Our meetup coordinators review the submission and contact the event organizer regarding the status of their submission. Once the event has been confirmed by our meetup coordinators, it is placed on our website within 7 business days.

While 98% of natural hair meetup attendees are women, some (if not all) are open to men as well. However, I would likely check with the meetup event host in your area to be sure.

NO! We welcome ALL to attend an event related to National Natural Hair Meetup Day. If you are currently natural, transitioning or curious about going natural, you are welcome to attend. We have some of the BEST events, so regardless of your “hair status” you will have a GREAT time and meet some awesome people!
